Thus ELES was born on August 1, 1998 as a Kindergarten class held at the residence of a holistic mission worker Brother Michael of National Fellowship with a dozen of children whose parents had a heart for education in English. This small beginning soon grew to a primary school level up to Class VI by demand and requisite of the under privileged parents who had no other opportunity. It was then known as Eternal Light Public School until the year 2001.
The vision was greatly supported by the National Fellowship Board. In the year 2001, National Fellowship under the visionary leadership of Susanta and Asangla Patra commenced the development of the school. Eternal Light English School was established as an educational project of National Fellowship in order to promote core values with excellence academics under the supervision of Mr. Moa Longkumar. National Fellowship believes that "Education is the fine balance between academics and real world (Creator, Creation and Created) experiences."
